Our story

Meet by chance.

We built Grounds because meeting people had gotten strange — endless swipes, scored profiles, and still nobody new. We wanted room for luck again.

When everything is optimized

You can be busy all week and still feel like you haven't met anyone new. Feeds, work chat, apps ranked by fit. Efficient — and somehow emptier.

Cultures everywhere have a word for the connection that finds you when you stop forcing it. We stole the feeling, not the costume: one weekly chance encounter.

Grounds does one thing with that idea. One introduction each week. Fate decides. Both people say yes before you go further.

Luck is enough of a reason to sit across from someone you don't know yet.

Why a weekly draw works

One match keeps the stakes low. You don't browse a feed. You don't optimize a profile for a score.

You enter the pool, chance pairs you, and you decide together how to connect.

If it clicks, great. If not, next week's draw is a clean slate.

The idea

Why luck

Friend, date, mentor, collaborator — the shape of the meetup is yours.

Luck is honest. You show up as yourself, without a compatibility report telling you how to feel.

No curated fit. No in-app venues to pick. Just common ground found by chance — then you reach out yourselves.

This week

Enter the draw.

One person this week. Pure chance. No swiping.
